Non-player character

From TaRapedia

Jump to: navigation, search

A non-player character (commonly abbreviated "NPC"), according to the broader definition, is any creature in the game that is not controlled by a human player (but by AI instead). That includes enemies and any neutral or hostile wildlife. In common colloquial use, the term "NPC" is usually reserved for NPCs that the players interact and communicate with, i.e. friendly and allied NPCs, also known as a "contact", as opposed to hostile creatures that are commonly called "mob" or "monster".

For additional general information, see wikipedia:Non-player character.

For a list of NPCs in the game, see NPC list or browse Category:NPCs.
